DAY 01: ROME - TAGLIACOZZO - SULMONA - PESCARA
Departure from Hotel Cicerone, Rome, at 08.30. Finally, arrival to L'Aquila, capital of the region, Roman and medieval city, famous for its Fontana Delle 99 cannelle, the Cathedral and for being an important university center. DAY 04: PESCARA - GRAN SASSO - TIVOLI - MARMORE - SPOLETO - ASSISI
Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning you will travel along the Panoramic roads that lead to the highest Apennines Massif, the Gran Sasso, surrounded by a mountain village, ideal places for a summer stroll and a base for skiing in winter. Continue to Tivoli with a stop in the historic center, where gardens, old houses, and baroque villas dominate the borough a few kilometers from Rome. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon, on the way to Spoleto, short stop at Marmore to admire the most beautiful Italian falls in the heart of Umbria. Continue to Spoleto, city of 40,000 inhabitants of Roman origin that keeps symbolic monuments like the Bridge of the Towers or the Arch of Drusus and more recent like the Cathedral and the Albornozian Rock. DAY 05: ASSISI - PERUGIA - TODI - ASSISI
Breakfast at the Hotel. A nice walk in the old town of Assisi will end with a visit of the Basilica of Saint Francis. Then depart for Perugia, the capital of the Umbrian region, ancient Etruscan center and rich city of history and art. You can admire the Palazzo dei Priori, the Fontana Maggiore, the Etruscan Gate, the Cathedral and the medieval wall. Free time for lunch. Continue for Todi. DAY 06: ASSISI - GUBBIO – CITTA' DI CASTELLO - ASSISI
